Anyway, yeah, there were 100mb as well; I had one of those, still got a few disks. There was also the Jaz which came in one and two gig
versions. They had a few other storage devices over the years, but
these were the most popular.
Back in the 68K Macintosh days, you'd have geek cred based on how tall
your external SCSI tower was - you had to have a ZIP drive, maybe a Jaz
drive, the Apple CD ROM, maybe an external HD... I hated SCSI conflicts
- having to swap the order of drives to see if one of them decided to
terminate the chain...
I had a IIci, external 2GB drive and a DDS tape drive. I wasn't one of
the cool kids.
